How Long Til My Sciatica Goes Away?

Author: I’ve had sciatica my whole life but there have been years between my flare ups and usually it only lasts about a week. It has now been two weeks and it just seems to be getting worse. How long did it take anyone for theirs to subside?

The not so good thing is that if you’ve had this problem your whole life it could have been getting worse over the years whether you felt it or not.
Treatments that may help are chiropractic care, PT, or if these don’t help then a pain injection (epidural).

It won’t just go away. You need to seek medical attention. I had a sciatica problem and it just got worse. I found I have a degenerative disk in my lower back. Basically the pain you feel is caused by an irritation in a nerve in you back usually caused by something pinching or rubbing on it.

Seek a chiropractor….sciatica is when you have a pinched nerve. Your spine might be misaligned in your lover back and that is what is causing it. If you have health insurance they might cover some visits but not a lot but if you are only looking to relieve the pain then use just the 12 or 24 that they pay but if you want to stay away from the pain I would suggest a plan. mine has bothered me for the last 5 years with no let up. Walking and exercising helps some. rubbing Ben-gay on it also helps. Hope yours lets up soon.
