Sciatic Nerve? Anyone Out There Who Has Had It? How Long Does It Take For The Pain To Go?

Author: I pinched a nerve in my lower back about 3 weeks ago. Went to the chiropractor, which did not help at all and saw a orthopedic doctor recently. He said it was my sciatic nerve. It it not my lower back that bothers me, the cramping in my right buttock, thigh and lower leg is aweful. He gave me some medication, but it still has not gotten any better. Did anyone experience sciatica? Do you have any advise for me?

Leave is not an issue with me, I am temping at my job so I can leave whenever, but how long could all of you out there with sciatic work until?
